Comorobot is a founder of Volnost, a techno club located in Seoul, and has been working on the programs of venue with sustainable and talented local and international artists since 2017. He aims to create the dance floor of Volnost with it’s own identity in Seoul by combining techno music with diverse kinds of experimental electronic music. Crossing over the genres of music, his sole focus of directing the stage which could convey a pure expression of artist.

Comarobot, as an artist, has been providing unexpected new experiences to listeners by playing informal sounds within diverse contexts. Inside of the floor, the listeners can feel like swimming in an undiscovered territory surrounded by sharp synth lines, dark ambient sounds and countless kick drums. While listening to his mix travels from deep techno to experimental and beyond that, you can feel the spirit of Volnost which embraces the boundless potentials of electronic music.

코마로봇은 2017년 서울의 테크노 클럽 볼노스트를 오픈한 이후 현재까지 지속적으로 발전 가능성이 있는 로컬 아티스트들과 해외 아티스트들과 함께 클럽의 프로그램들을 만들어내고 있다. 대중에게 상대적으로 접근성이 높은 테크노 장르 뿐 아니라 일반적으로 쉽게 경험하기 힘든 다양한 형태의 전자 음악들을 조합한 실험적 무대들도 자신만의 방법으로 재구성하면서 볼노스트만의 독특한 댄스 플로어를 구축해 나가고 있다. 그는 장르적 제한 없이 아티스트의 예술성이 더 본질적으로 표현될 수 있는 무대를 디렉팅한다.

코마로봇의 사운드는 하나의 틀 안에 종속되지 않고 다양한 형태의 공간 속에서 정형화되지 않은 음악을 통해 듣는 이로 하여금 예측되지 않은 새로운 경험을 자아내게 한다. 플로어 안으로 쏟아지는 날카로운 신스 라인들과 어두운 앰비언트 사운드들 그리고 셀 수 없이 나열되는 킥드럼 사운드들 안에서 리스너들은 새로운 공간을 유영하듯 탐험하는 경험을 하게된다. 딥테크노부터 익스페리멘탈 그리고 그 이상의 범위까지 자유롭게 오가며 만들어내는 그만의 믹스들을 들어보면 전자음악에 대한 포용도와 이해도를 기반으로 만들어진 볼노스트의 정신을 느낄 수 있다.
