JonnyVicious is a doer, from the year 2009, whilst nailing his papers at university, his itch for better music took the better of him. He sat back and noticed how nothing pleased him surrounding club life, especially after partying around Europe during his yearly summer breaks.
He vowed to change that, after returning to Kuala Lumpur from a long hiatus in the deep burrows of minimal techno of Amsterdam, JonnyVicious joined a small record label named Monsoon+, together with a couple of German Germano’s he trailblazed the local scene, fighting for what he wanted most, a inclusive local house & techno scene. With his night Nobody Listens To Techno, JonnyVicious penetrated the scene, and today, is widely recognised in Asia as the forefront underground music.

JonnyVicious has not only spent the last years working tirelessly to bridge the gap of niche music in Kuala Lumpur. He also finds himself working really hard towards creating great CSR projects for the local scene to be a part of. Most recently his project A Vicious Extravaganza saw him together with KL’s finest rebuild an orphanage.

His perseverance for equal rights and how he intends to put up a good fight saw him creatively take a stance against homophobia & transphobia with his night Shagrilla KL, a night that JonnyVicious intended on creating to not only bring focus to queer art, but to help young people actually understand what being in a real club environment felt like, the freedom, the expression, the dance, this is perfected through his nights. This is what he thrives for, creating better experiences for everyone, and in turn, this makes him glimmer.

JonnyVicious isn’t a DJ who one might ever get bored of, this is widely because his taste in music levels on astounding. From his roots in listening to Jazz, Classic Rock & Disco, to growing up around dancers and tastemakers, one might find themselves enthralled in an ocean of melancholia through a deep techno track before being excavated with soulful sounds of Aretha. This is everything JonnyVicious thrives for when entertaining.

JonnyVicious works with some of the most amazing brands in the world, from working with the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2017, to organising Circoloco 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, his resume is nothing short of incredible.
