Nic Ford grew up in Manchester and started his DJ career in the mid 90s. Roughly 10 years ago Nic then decided to pack his bags and relocate to Vietnam and has ever since been a feature on lineups of clubs and festivals throughout the region.
Nic Ford joined as a resident of The Observatory since it first opened in 2013. Honing his skills since the mid-90s, he held his first residency at Dry 201 (Factory Records, New Order). He’s also a highly acclaimed producer, being one half of MadderModes, a production outfit that has released on a range of impressive labels including DRED, Voodoo Down Records and Millions of Moments.

The sound that Nic Ford is able to project and develop over one of his eclectic sets can range from deep U.S house and disco to Balearic movements to droned-out hypnosis, over to mechanized, industrial techno and over again to organic rhythms and carnal house. His capacity for eclecticism is balanced by his ability to zone in and focus on concentrated flows in dedicated directions. Always put together with grace and precision, it’s music for escape in its most pure form.

Nic Ford lớn lên ở Manchester, bắt đầu làm DJ vào giữa những năm 1990. Từ Vương quốc Anh chuyển đến Việt Nam khoảng 10 năm trước, kể từ đó anh là thành viên của The Observatory.
