Zhao Dai On Leave 2024is a three-day, three-night community-driven electronic music festival taking place on the beach at Qinhuangdao,a couple of hours northeast of Beijing.The brainchild of the team behind renowned Beijing club Zhao Dai, this year’s festival will be the 4thedition since its inception during the first year of the Covid pandemic.

In the festival’s own words, Zhao Dai On Leave “ emphasis es community gathering: here,crowds meet, ideas collide and different music genres blend, forming a cohesive force.”Sinceits founding,Zhao Dai On Leave has foregrounded the fundamental units of regional music culture in mainland China—clubs, listening bars, record labels, radio stations and collectives— providinga platform for new talents and ideas to emerge, interact and flourish.

In 2024, the festival remains committed to diversity and representation.Alongside Chinese talents like Illsee ,DJ Truck ,Knopha,and Sanyo, the line-up features artists from other East and South-East Asian hubs like Di Linh b2b Manikk (Hanoi), DOTT (Bangkok) and Emel Rowe b2b Saint Guel (Manila).Otherinternational DJs on the lineup include Amor Satyr (France), Kimmah (Netherlands), Peachlyfe (Denmark) and DJ SWISHA (USA), while the live programme includes Numa Gama (Brazil) and Queen Asher & Rehema Tajiri (Tanzania)
