Saturday night at OBS this weekend: Japan-born digger, producer and founder of the phenomenal Time Capsule Sounds imprint, Kay Suzuki has never left a dancefloor indifferent with his unpredictable picks, an atomic collision of funk/jazz-infused energy with an electronic severity that you just can’t quite locate..

Kay was also one of the founding members of East London’s audiophile restaurant brilliant corners and played a major role in establishing the venue’s character & sound until 2016. Since 2018, Kay has been running a reissue focused record label Time Capsule and continues to explore the new lost music from across the globe. Particularly from 2024, Time Capsule has been releasing a series of Japanese music compilations from the 70s and 80s which were featured and reviewed on prestigious media such as Pitchfork, The Wire, BBC, NTS and many more.

On the bill is an all-star lineup of residents Datodeo and Anh Vy with their strange stuff built for dancing.

Kay từng là một trong những thành viên sáng lập của nhà hàng audiophile Brilliant Corners ở Đông London và đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc tạo dựng, giám tuyển âm nhạc cho đến năm 2016. Kể từ năm 2018, Kay tập trung vào Time Capsule và không ngừng timg kiếm để “đào sâu” những bản nhạc hiếm ở ​​​​khắp nơi trên thế giới. Đặc biệt từ năm 2024, Time Capsule đã phát hành một loạt tuyển tập âm nhạc Nhật Bản từ thập niên 70,80 để quảng bá trên các phương tiện truyền thông uy tín như Pitchfork, The Wire, BBC, NTS, v.v.
