In time for the rite of spring darkroom rituals, Saint Guel is commanding the oncoming April 19 gay seance — we're hosting
Dress code none, butt naked optional: imense house and intense disco hours ahead, from the glistening resident of both Wonderfruit and Equation festivals, ready to offer guidance deep into afterhours
The ammounts of gay are astronomical in this month's episode: with budding and growing season in full force, those belts and buttons don't stand a chance
From making mixtapes with music downloaded from Limewire and selling them on burned CDs to classmates at the age of nine - to a resident at Wonderfruit and Equation festivals, and all the way down to the pits of Host, Saint Guel has got you covered, happy and full
Never content to just listen to music, Saint Guel has always felt an urge to curate and create it; a passion that has taken him from his bedroom studio to Manila's best parties, and to dance floors in Asia and all over the world. At home, he has brought his unique magic to scene institutions like UNKNWN, Malasimbo, Sado Maso Disco, Evening Breeze, Church, Nokal, Futur:st, Apotheka, and XX XX.
His goal with every set is to transform the floor into a single organism, where all dancers lose themselves. He wants to take people to the same joyful state he inhabits when he finds himself on a great dance floor-creating moments and evoking warm feelings with his well-paced, swanky track selections. Deceptively boyish-looking, Saint Guel's deftness behind the decks reveals an understanding of the power of sound that is far beyond his years-something he attributes to the inspirational people he surrounds himself with and the fascinating places he's been.
