DTW: 15 Years in Motion
This year, Singapore’s Darker Than Wax marks 15 years — a milestone shaped by years of releases, parties and a growing network that stretches well beyond the city. What started as a small imprint has become a steady presence across the region, moving through jazz, house, broken beat and leftfield electronics.
Fresh off a first edition in Bangkok, the celebration lands at RASA on 25 April, taking over both the Hall and the Floor.
On the Floor, co-founder Dean Chew links up with Daryl Knows for an all-night session. Dean’s sets carry years of digging and a deep knowledge of music that moves across cosmic jazz, house and off-centre rhythms, while Daryl shifts between soul, disco, house and beyond with a natural sense of flow.
In the Hall, Tashasan and Suffyan step in. Tashasan moves through the murkier edges of bass music - breaks, dubstep, percussive club sounds while Suffyan works across downtempo, house and deeper electronics, shaped by his time across the city’s listening spaces and dancefloors.
