This fun-loving artist from Italy is known for his exquisite taste and passion for digging, with a penchant for playing amazing obscure records found in the dollar bin. Highly skilled on the decks, Simone just smashed his closing set at Organik Festival in Taiwan and has been circulating in some of the big festivals around Europe at the moment. His vast multi-disciplinary curiosities have led him to discover the wonders of cinema and design on top of his unconventional musical knowledge. He will be supported by Bangkok-based artist, Seelie. Seelie started as a fixture in the Manchester club scene, playing alongside the likes of Move D, Chez Damier, Derrick Carter and Jeremy Underground. Since moving to Thailand, he founded the infamous party collective Transport and his love for radio led him to start Bangkok Community Radio, having also previously hosted shows on Red Light Radio, Mixmag and Kiosk. Expect a large musical spectrum ranging from blissed out balaerica and unearthed dance sounds to playful house and trippy techno!
Simone
For someone who has been digging for obscure records, books and movies since his memory can remember, Simone de Kunovich still transmit the enthusiasm of the beginner. In the past decade he managed to travel the globe far and wide, always on a hunt for blind rarities for his label and YouTube channel Ultimo Tango or playing shows in iconic clubs between London, Tokyo, Paris, New York or his home Milan.
His vast multi-disciplinary knowledge made him an acclaimed tastemaker, who moves at the crossroads between cinema, music and design, always with a sharp taste for the unconventional. Glimpses of this life-long research can be heard in his studio project “Mondo Nuovo”, inspired by 70s Exploitation movies and early electronics, or in his mixes for NTS Radio, fueled by 90s house gems - but still, in a world of cultural standardization and predictability, the best way if you want to experience the wonderful tension of the unexpected is to catch him doing his thing beyond the decks.
Seelie
Seelie has been showcasing his deep love for music for the best part of 20 years. During this time, his passion for dance music culture and its values has manifested in an array of channels. As a DJ, he quickly became a permanent fixture throughout Manchester's clubbing institutions and illegal rave scene, playing alongside the likes of Move D, Chez Damier, Prosumer, Derrick Carter and Jeremy Underground. Once in Bangkok he founded the infamous Transport parties, using warehouses, rooftops and disused strip clubs to curate secret location events across the city. The transport crew are passionate about representing diversity and showcasing local talent, as well as inviting some of the worlds finest underground artists such as Fantastic Man, Hidden Spheres and Nick The Record. Now 7 years in Asia, Seelie has become a regular at some of the continent's most renowned underground parties. Playing yearly at festivals such as Wonderfruit as well as club meccas; Savage, The Observatory, Time Manila and Pistil Seoul.
Beyond the club, Seelie has a deep affection for radio and its roots. Whilst being invited to host shows on stations such as Red Light Radio, Mixmag and Kiosk, he began the co-creation of Bangkok Community Radio. This community platform has allowed him to invite the likes of Heels & Souls, Eternal Love and Planet Trips Mike Who on his breakfast show. Here he showcases his full spectrum selections that span from blissed out balearica to unearthed dance sounds from every corner of the globe.
