Shi Fu Miz Festival is back for its 7th edition from November 8–10, 2024, promising an exciting weekend filled with electronic music, art, and holistic experiences that will take festival-goers from the urban sprawl of Hong Kong to the enchanting green getaway of Sai Yuen Farm, located a 30-minute ferry ride from the city center on the picturesque Cheung Chau Island. Known for its intimate and eclectic atmosphere not unlike its locale’s bustling cultural melting pot, this boutique festival brings together cutting-edge musical curation, creative arts, and sustainable practices in a vibrant outdoor setting.

In the spirit of movement and wayfare, the festival kicks off on Friday, November 8, with an opening night event in Central Hong Kong at the iconic Soho House, headlined by Marie Montexier, Mr. Ho, and the Y2K Collective with an after-party in partnership with Yeti Out.

The revelry continues on November 9 at the main festival venue, with four stages across the vast grounds of Sai Yuen Farm, offering various landscapes, soundscapes, and dynamic activities to enjoy.

The festival’s reputation for delivering a carefully curated selection of forward-thinking underground artists and fresh talent is evident in the impressive lineup of international, regional, and local artists.

International performers include DJ BORING (Australia), Chaos in the CBD (New Zealand), Nicola Cruz (Ecuador), and Marcellus Pittman (USA). Coming in from neighboring Asian scenes are Afrodite (Seoul), Dean Chew (Singapore), and Rafiki (Mumbai), while Adrianna, Mengzy, and Roy Malig represent Hong Kong. Whether you're into house, techno, disco, funk, or dub, Shi Fu Miz offers a full spectrum of genres for every taste.

In addition to the music, Shi Fu Miz integrates art, wellness, and interactive experiences into their program, collaborating with different artists and professionals to set the scene with visually striking environments, immersive installations, lighting arrangements, and stage architecture through the efforts of Studio Raito from Amsterdam, multidisciplinary artist Holland Create, and local design team P.Y.O Studio.

These transportive settings will be spread across the grounds, featuring the Jungle, Temple, Concrete, and Sunset Stages. Not to mention, the rest of Sai Yuen’s over 11 acres to explore, from golden sand beaches to various campgrounds and quiet grassy enclaves.

To emphasize the family-friendly aspect of the festival, Shi Fu Miz offers free entry for children under 12. Throughout the weekend, attendees can participate in all-ages activities including yoga, sound healing, breath work, meditation by the pond, drum classes, dance or martial arts sessions, as well as kid-friendly art workshops and crafting, all with a sustainable ethos. Further highlighting this core message, talks from key experts and professionals will cover topics ranging from art and music to sustainability, nature, and well-being.

This year, Shi Fu Miz expands its immersive programming with its artisanal pop-up marketplace and Feast Court, highlighting dishes from different global regions. A special culinary experience is also on offer, led by Chef Jamie Draper for a Saturday night “techno banquet” and delectable Sunday brunch featuring Mediterranean, Greek, and North African-inspired menus. These aim to promote deeper connections and add another dimension to the festival experience. Reservations for the dinner and brunch are limited, so booking in advance is recommended.

Tickets for Shi Fu Miz Festival 2024 are now available, with options ranging from day passes to full weekend passes. On-site accommodations and camping reservations can be made directly through Sai Yuen Farm.
